Project Accountant

Freese and Nichols Inc., is looking for a Project Accountant with experience in project accounting with a primary focus on contract review, project maintenance, revenue recognition, and project invoicing.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up of projects in the accounting system, reviewing and maintaining project-related documents, including contracts and amendments, revenue recognition, reviewing and approving timesheets, data analysis, and processing invoices that align with client and contract requirements.

• Occasional travel between offices is required, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

• 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance role

• Familiarity with Accounting software

• strong analytical and critical thinking skills, initiative, and attention to detail with the capability of working independently

• Effective communication skills, possessing the ability to collaborate with employees throughout the organization, vendors, and clients, while building long-distance positive relationships across offices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

Preferred

• Prior experience within the Architect/Engineering industry
