Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR), is seeking a Programs & Reentry Specialist. This position provides administrative assistance to the Faith Services, Education, Counseling and Treatment Services (CTS) and Reentry Services Executive Assistant (EA), Assistant Director (AD), and Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of the Education, Programs & Community Reentry (EPCR) Bureau.
Job Duties:
Coordinates delivery and distribution of ordered materials
Coordinates facility entry process and documentation
Develops and maintains electronic and physical filing systems
Manages, composes responses and tracks communication inquiries, correspondence and documents
Participates in procurement activities utilizing the procurement system
Participates in budgetary tracking and record-keeping
Maintains calendars and coordinates appointments, conferences and reservations
Processes hotel claims, folios and travel claims
Tracks and completes special projects for Bureau Administrators
Provides support to the EPCR Human Resources Liaison (HRL)
Researches, reviews, and responds to a wide variety of correspondence
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive staff information
Gathers and compiles data, prepares statistical reports and generates time-sensitive reports
Attends meetings, develops agendas and minutes as assigned by Bureau administrators
Gathers and prepares documents in response to public information requests and subpoenas
Processes confidential employee-related documents including administrative and criminal investigations and employee discipline/dismissal
Drives on state business
Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):
Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience equivalent to or above the Administrative Assistant III (AAIII) level in fields such as budget analysis, purchasing, data processing, or related administrative services work

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
