We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Entry-Level PLC/Robotics Programming/Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing PLC programs and robotics solutions for industrial automation systems. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, program, and optimize control systems for various manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and functional specifications for industrial automation systems integrating both PLCs and robotics.
  2. Design, program, and configure PLC systems using ladder logic, structured text, or other programming languages to control manufacturing processes and machinery.
  3. Develop robotics solutions for tasks such as material handling, assembly, and inspection, utilizing robotic programming languages (e.g., RAPID, KAREL) and simulation tools.
  4. Integrate PLC and robotics systems to work seamlessly together, ensuring efficient communication and coordination between devices.
  5. Configure and program robotic controllers and teach pendant interfaces to achieve desired motion and operation.
  6. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate PLC and robotics systems into overall automation designs, including machine vision systems and sensors.
  7. Conduct testing and debugging of PLC and robotics programs to ensure proper functionality, safety, and performance.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation including system specifications, wiring diagrams, and user manuals for PLC and robotics systems.
  9. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams for PLC and robotics-related issues.
  10. Stay updated on advancements in PLC and robotics technology, including emerging programming languages, hardware platforms, and control algorithms.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of PLC programming concepts and principles, as well as robotics programming and control theory.
  3. Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text, as well as robotics programming languages like RAPID or KAREL.
  4. Experience with PLC hardware platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotics controllers (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, Universal Robots).
  5. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
  6. Experience with robotic simulation and offline programming tools (e.g., RobotStudio, RoboDK) is advantageous.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  8. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  10. Prior internship or project experience in PLC and robotics programming or industrial automation is preferred.
