Who You AreAs the CCAMPIS Programming Assistant for CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents in School), you will assist with program development and 1-on-1 advising for FRCC student parents who are recipients of our CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents in School) grant.This position is part-time hourly, flexible 10-15 hours per week.Please note: This is an on-campus position with an opportunity for hybrid remote opportunities. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Primary Duties
Assist the CCAMPIS Director and CCAMPIS Coordinator in implementing and meeting the programming requirements of the CCAMPIS grant.Help participants of CCAMPIS develop personal strategies to be successful while balancing the demands of parenting.Schedule a virtual Family Orientation night at the beginning of each semester in partnership with the CCAMPIS Coordinator.Support CCAMPIS students by scheduling 2 individual advising sessions each semester to monitor students' progress, grades, virtual attendance of CCAMPIS programs on D2L, and as a team provide referrals for academic resources (e.g. tutoring, additional financial aid, disability support services) and community resources (e.g. SNAP, housing assistance).Set up a CCAMPIS programming page using Front Range Community College's online education program called Desire 2 Learn (D2L).Enroll qualified CCAMPIS students in D2L each semester for the purpose of programming.Build out 5-10 mini-programs or assignments on D2L each semester. Programming assignments must include topics relevant to student parents including but not limited to: Parenting, Financial Literacy, Health & Nutrition for Families, Time Management for Student Parents, Stress Management, etc. May work with Early Childhood Education faculty and Financial Aid as well as other on-campus groups in development or acquiring programming materials already developed to upload to CCAMPIS site.Maintain records for each participant and record participation in programming, advising, and targeted interventions.Develop and implement an online parent-support group opportunity for FRCC CCAMPIS student parents.Develop and implement targeted marketing and outreach strategies to make students aware of the CCAMPIS grant. This will be in partnership with the CCAMPIS Coordinator. Publish blurbs in existing communication sources such as FRCC Instagram, Stall Street Journal, Wolf Call, etc.Work with CCAMPIS Coordinator to provide childcare referrals that meet the requirements of the program.
