Job Description

The Programmer directs, prepares, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and maintains workday Integrations. This position is responsible for working with users to support business applications, and investigating operational problems/system requirements. Workday Developer solves user inquiries that arise during day-to-day operation.

The Programmer is expected to have one or many of the following:

  • Skilled at gathering requirements, write technical specifications, developing and delivering solutions that meet customer needs, on time and on budget

  • Knowledgeable about Workday: Integrations, xslt, xml,EIB, workday reports, bp's, core connector, PICOF.

  • Supports business user through testing and create test scenario's

  • Engages with 3rd party vendors

  • Able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • View the system holistically: understand the inputs and outputs; able to assess the upstream and downstream impacts of changes

  • Workday Studio would be a preferred skill

  • Experience with supporting HR systems would be a preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Solves complex programming problems and takes a new perspective using existing solutions

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field from a four-year college or university with two to four years of relevant experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement

  • Solid understanding of the organization's business operations and industry. Demonstrated business acumen

  • Strong customer service disposition and sense of professionalism

  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret

  • Excellent attention to detail

Job posting end date: The Level I Global Field Service Engineer is an entry-level position in the field service group. This person may require 'hands-on' training in the installation, troubleshooting, and operation of a variety of Metso equipment. This position can also provide support services to the Field Service Engineer staff and clients for maintaining and operating field service equipment required for repairs. The goal is for the individual to become proficient in all aspects of servicing customer's requirements/demands regarding the proprietary equipment line at a minimum. The Level I Global Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing advisory services to Metso customers, Metso labor, and/or third-party contractors on existing or newly acquired equipment and components This entry-level position requires a talent for working with other people; fellow employees, customers, contractors. Must be capable of making quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution & problem liability. This position will be trained by an experienced Field Service Engineer in the field at the job site as/if required. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Provide advisory service during installation, checkout, start-up, and commissioning to ensure safety and proper equipment and system erection by the customer, customer's sub-contractor, Metso labor and/or Metso sub-contractor is in accordance with contract designs and drawing requirements. * Specific to this position the candidate needs knowledge of all risks and safety requirements around industrial combustion equipment and high-temperature processes * Knowledge of industrial combustion equipment (burners, fuel systems, BMS, flame scanners) * Some knowledge on the basics of combustion (fuels, air/fuel ratios, mixing) * Some knowledge of high-temperature kiln/calciner processes and industries (e.g. lime, pulp & paper, cement, clays, ore processing) * Understanding the principles of a BMS and ability to understand and interpret written PLC functional descriptions and liaise with the customer and third-party programmers * Ability to understand and read/record process data from customer control system HMI screens * Ability to use and record results from hand-held portable instruments * Ability to liaise with customer plant operators, process engineers, E&I personnel - E&I trouble-shooting skills could be an advantage * Ability to independently troubleshoot third-party equipment and/or liaise with specialist suppliers to trouble-shoot * Prior to arrival at a field assignment location, study, plan and prepare for fieldwork based on the detailed scope of work, drawings, specifications, Metso and customer policies/procedures/rules/regulations, specific instructions, etc. * Coordinate field activity with the customer, customer's sub-contractor, Metso labor and/or Metso sub-contractor to maintain the specified schedule. * When appropriate, make recommendations to improve field methods and/or efficiency. * Troubleshoot mechanical problems and advise on corrective action and repairs. * Keep the Project Manager, Field Service Manager and General Manager of Service up to date daily on-site progress, problems, delays, etc. * Keep accurate records regarding job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, extras, and engineering and fabrication errors. * Make local purchases ($500.00 maximum) of materials and services which are of vital importance to the job. * Write, and timely submit, accurate, detailed technical reports of completed projects for submission to the customer and internal departments outlining the summary of the job, problems encountered, action(s) taken, future recommendations, and daily log. * Submit internal daily construction reports covering activity at the job site. * Document all job delays and their cause and ensure client comprehends and signs the documentation. * Communications with the client to ensure satisfaction with job progress and quality. * Ensure client issues proper documentation for extra work and changes. * Ensure client signs time verification sheets for Metso and Metso subcontractor personnel prior to leaving the site. * Ensure sub-contractors verify problems and provide proposals for re-work and extra work. * Perform training of the client's personnel in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance of the equipment. * Assist in the marketing of field service, retrofits, and spare parts. * Timely submission of accurate expense reports according to Metso's travel policies and procedures. * Work in liaison with the various technical support staff within the Metso organization. * Recommend operating and maintenance procedures to ensure the proper function of equipment. * Train customer staff in proper methods to maintain and repair the equipment. * Visit customers with the sales force to develop and grow service business opportunities. * When appropriate, deliver technical seminars to plant personnel in safely performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrade work. * Train other Metso Field Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians in the safe and proper methods and procedures to maintain and repair Metso equipment. Travel Up to 65-75% may be required for this position. Qualifications Associates degree in the field of engineering or high school graduate with equivalent experience Experience: * Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. * Must have a talent for working with other people effectively; fellow employees, customers, contractors. * The capability of making quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution and problem liability. * Must be well organized and able to maintain accurate records and communicate reliable information through detailed technical reports. * Mechanical and/or electrical and instrumentation knowledge and abilities a must. * Capability to understand the various product applications marketed by Metso. * Ability to read and interpret imperial and metric tape measurers, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and engineering and architectural drawings. * Ability to travel frequently with extended durations (1 week to 8 weeks). * Ability to stay in remote locations for extended periods and have the stamina to work long hours during emergency breakdowns and peak periods. * Ability to use all extremities to efficiently operate manual tools, power tools, office, and computer equipment. * Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all-weather conditions. * Climbing off, and working on, stairs, ladders, and scaffolding, occasionally at extreme heights, is required. * The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and ability to read engineering drawings, meters, and documentation. * Ability to hear audible warning horns. * Must be able to effectively communicate verbally.
