  • Develop solutions from conception to application support with primary focus on data engineering integration of various sources to targets / Data ingestion to Data Lake.

  • Develop using ETL, optimize and perform process modeling.

  • Lead all ETL projects from solution architecture reviews to new development.

  • Perform hands-on data analysis.

  • Research, evaluate, identify alternative approaches to support development needs.

  • Recommend, design and code efficient and effective solutions for challenging problems for medium to large work efforts of medium to high complexity.

  • Comply with standards, best practices and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing, and deployment activities.

  • Demonstrate collaborative skills working within a project team of diverse skills.

  • Bring strong communication skills including oral, written and presentation skills plus creativity, and problem solving skills to a challenging environment.

  • Act as a Project Development Lead with one or more developers matrixed for the completion of the project.

  • Provide technical over sight to multiple development initiatives.

  • Provide guidance/mentor and direction to less-seasoned staff.

  • Ability to create high complexity detailed technical design specifications

  • Ability to act as project technical lead for high complexity projects.

  • Ability to act as a lead developer responsible for the planning, completion and coordination of work activity for projects involving more than one developer.

  • Ability to lead walk though of design documents and provide technical leadership over programming team.

  • Strong analytical and technical aptitude.

  • An understanding of a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models.

  • Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customers and staff.


  • B.S. in technical discipline or equivalent business experience in software development.

  • At least six (6) + years of experience working in an ETL environment (specifically datastage 8.5 parallel edition or above).

  • Strong back ground of Shell Scripting - Linux/Unix environment

  • Strong knowledge in data base technologies Oracle 10 and above or Sybase 15 or SQL server

  • Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL programming,

  • Experience in converting specifications to programs and data mapping in an ETL DataStage environment

  • Provide High Level and Low Level Architecture Solution/Design to the ETLs.

  • Complete SDLC/AGILE experience required

  • ETL/SQL tuning is a must.

  • Experience on Big data platform HADOOP preferable.

  • Experience with coding on SCALA / Python / JAVA preferred.

  • Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills required

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities required.

  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required

  • Ability to work effectively with end-users, project teams, management, and vendors with minimal supervision

  • Managed Care preferred

Position Summary The Lead Programmer Analyst -- Integration Services will collaborate with cross functional technical teams to produce centralized, decentralized, and mobile solutions. The use of open source technologies is desired for this position. Multiple technologies are being used where rethinking legacy design models is leading to innovation in next generation initiatives. Platform development spans centralized and distributed models using on-premise and hosted models. This position will be encouraged to contribute to complete life cycle on projects from business inception to execution. This position is located at our corporate office in Philadelphia, PA. Duties & Responsibilities * Reverse engineer legacy applications and move to cloud platform * Lead technical specification initiatives and define the programming and integration efforts required * Contribute to the technical specifications enriching legacy processes with more robust and scalable solutions * Identify potential roadblocks early and develop solutions to mitigate * Develop code that matches the prototype and specification, is maintainable and, as necessary, portable to other environments * Engage problem determination as the principle resource to deliver solutions * Guide Business Analyst in developing technical documentation and review materials for technical accuracy * Brainstorm with development, support, and QA teams on leading edge opportunities in API enabled solutions * Lead new technology innovations through expertise leveraged from previous engagements * Collaborate with customers to understand problems and provide a technical solution * Plan the implementation of new products and enhancements as reflected by the architecture Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required * 5 - 10 years of experience programming Java services and APIs in various containers using open source is required * 5 -- 10 years of experience with Visual Studio and Eclipse as IDEs is required * 5 years of experience with SQL and relational databases is required * Skilled in AWS services Lambda and EC2 * Understand AWS S3 storage models and development of file transport options * Familiar with WebSphere Application Server SOAP & RESTful development platform * Proficient in Spring technologies * Experience with Unix/Linux platform * Experience with XML, JSON and Swagger * Experience with Visual Basic * Exposure to API testing tools is a plus * MQ/MQMFT & AWS SQS skills is a plus * Experience with Git and Maven is a plus * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must not require sponsorship now or at any time in the future Physical Demands/Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
