L.L.Bean is currently searching for a Programmer Analyst to join the Information Services team located in Freeport, Maine.
The Programmer Analyst plays a key role in supporting L.L.Bean's growing Wholesale Business. Working with the Wholesale Systems Analyst, this role will be responsible for supporting the implementation and continued support of moderate to complex application solutions using industry standard business process and systems. This is a multi-disciplinary role that spans business systems analysis, technical project leadership, and solution development & delivery. The individual will work in collaboration with the Information Systems department and the Wholesale Business Unit to understand functional business needs and priorities, and will work to create solutions based on those criteria. This role will also be required to support and troubleshoot existing applications including occasional after hours support on a rotating basis.
The ideal candidate is organized, can balance multiple priorities and is self-motivated to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
First level triage and support for user issues - maintaining ServiceNow tickets and JIRA Board
SME for EDI documents and interfaces, Product Catalogue Interfaces (GXS & SPS), and additional areas of interest
Document new and existing sustain support processes by creating SOPs & Training Videos
Participate in project meetings, assist with turning business objectives into functional requirements and features specs. Facilitate meetings for assigned activities as needed
Communicate and coordinate project activities with business and technical teams. Serve as technical testing resource when required.
May lead scope/requirement activities for smaller efforts
Participate in rotational On-Call Schedule - provide daytime and after hours on-call support as needed

Education Level: 4-Year Bachelors Degree in Business, MIS, or related field of study
Years of Experience: 0-3 years experience in product or business systems analyst role, preferably in Retail or Wholesale
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently and prioritize work effectively, as well as to function as an effective team member in a local and virtual team development environment.
Team Skills: Flexibility, collaboration, negotiation, facilitation, communication, presentation and group dynamics, and solid English language skills and comprehension
Technical skills: Problem solving skills, Development skills, Systems Analysis and Design
Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus: JIRA, Java, JSP, JavaScript, SQL, Linux, Perl, HTML, C, XML, SOAP, Ajax, Java Server Faces, Web Services, JUNIT, MQ Series, caching solutions, struts, Swing, Websphere Application Server, Restful API, JSON, Splunk
Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
Microsoft Suite tools
Testing: Unit, Integration, System, Performance
