Job details:

Large Oil and Gas company with a divisional office in Carlsbad, NM is seeking to hire a SCADA Programmer Analyst for a long-term contract role on their SCADA team. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position and the hours are Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

Will work with Production to bring in well site data, salt water disposals, compressor site data, and any field automation into the Ignition and Wonderware SCADA systems for alarm history/trending, and display.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a SCADA Programmer Analyst for this very large oil and gas company, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and commissioning of SCADA systems utilizing corporate-driven standard solutions. This will include:

Support of the plants and facilities and the process controls within these sites.
Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations and plant support, and other IT support staff.
Assist teams in troubleshooting communications and network issues.
Will travel to remote sites for projects and other support (25% to 50% may be required). Travel expenses are covered by the employer.
Ability to travel to remote sites for projects and other support as this SCADA Programmer Analyst will be predominantly in the field starting up and helping support facilities in the field, which is in the Carlsbad, NM area (Delaware Basin Division).

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must work well with field I&E employees and development support.
Knowledge of SCADA and Automation controls.
Working knowledge of Inductive Automation/Ignition product and/or Wonderwares software suite (IAS, InTouch, InSQL), AutoSol, ACP ThinManager is beneficial.
IT knowledge of Microsofts server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL 2012 or later is beneficial
Must be heavy on the IT SCADA side, with the ability to support the applications from a deeper technical perspective.
Background in working with PLCs and related HMI hardware and their related software (Allen-Bradley, Modicon, GE).
Effective written and oral skills.
Strong leadership, project management, customer-service orientation, and good interpersonal skills.
Experience in oil and gas field operations.
Knowledge of field data capture and production accounting systems.
