The Information Technology (IT) department at National Instruments (NI) is looking for a Applications Developer to join our IT Team.
This person will be working as part of a team that is responsible for delivering and supporting integrated enterprise technical solutions and business applications for our internal Manufacturing and R&D organization. This individual will learn the business functions and provide recommendations based on findings. You will also work closely with Business Analyst and internal stakeholders to provide solution design and technical architecture for business needs. You will collaborate globally with other developers and architects in Austin, Europe, Asia and Central America on the entire software development life cycle.

Core Job Responsibilities:
Serve as part of a highly-skilled technical team, providing innovative solutions to our corporate business teams
Take part in the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and operations of our corporate applications, including participation in all systems life cycle and project management activities
Analyze, identify, research and recommend technology and business solutions to meet business requirements and IT system standards
Provide effective written and oral communications within and outside the IT Department, including interactions and knowledge sharing with all levels of staff from executive level management to individual contributors
Work collaboratively with global application development teams located in Europe, Asia and Central America
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
2 years of application or software development experience
Experience with Oracle Applications R12 considered a plus
Experience with Oracle APEX considered an advantage
Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders to develop requirements and turn them into technical specifications
Demonstrated ability to
Work effectively in a group development environment
Persistently drive projects to successful completion
Project management skills
For some positions, occasional international travel may be required
