Job Description:

The Programmatic Platform Manager within Disney Advertising Sales will be focused on leading the execution, stewardship and analysis of the Disney portfolio of properties including ESPN, ABC, Freeform, FX, Nat Geo & Disney Digital Network programmatic partnerships. This position will act as the lead resource and day-to-day point person for programmatic technology partners. In addition this position will be focused on analyzing data from various sources to maximize programmatic revenue on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. In partnership with Direct Sales and our clients, the Programmatic Platform Manager will be responsible for providing the following services:

Responsibilities

  • Develop programmatic revenue optimization strategies based on analysis from daily, weekly and annual revenue and inventory trends for current programmatic campaigns

  • Analyze trend data from various sources (i.e. GAM, AppNexus, SpotX, Rubicon, Oath etc.) to develop actionable optimizations to increases revenue

  • Work with Brand Solutions and Revenue teams to integrate programmatic offering into sponsorships packages that align with client objectives

  • Support Programmatic Account Executives in their outward facing sales efforts

  • Use automated reporting tools to generate sales leads and act as a consultant for sales teams across the country

  • Own day-to day relationships with technology partners and operations teams to manage implementation and stewardship of programmatic integrations

  • Work with Account Management group to provide guidance in the creation, implementation and servicing of private marketplace and programmatic deals with sales team to drive programmatic revenue

About the role The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly. The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized. The Media Activation Manager is responsible for the coordination and delivery of their account(s) across display and video channels, and operating as the main campaign point of contact for our clients. They will make use of media and platform knowledge along with account management practices to ensure effective management of projects to brief, schedule and budget. They will also work closely with their account lead (and the team's display leads), to deliver world class display programs which exceed our client's expectations. Some of the things we'd like you to do: * <li> Tactically plan and oversee all reservation display and video launches and QA within a media campaign * Accountable for media channel performance to goal * Oversee custom media programs and larger scale partnerships * Be an expert in Display & Video Measurement * Co-own end of month/quarter campaign wrap ups * Regularly contribute to best practices and campaign processes * Develop and oversee execution of rigorous testing plans * Ensure actionable insights for weekly and quarterly reports are in place * Manage all aspects of 2-3 direct reports (staff reviews, career planning, coaching) A bit about yourself: * <li> Approximately 3-5 years experience in a digital media agency, minimum 2 years of media buying experience, minimum 2 years of people management experience * Knowledge of: * Expert knowledge of DCM platforms * Strong knowledge of the display/video partner marketplace (publishers, data partners, networks, platforms etc.) * Familiarity with DSPs (DBM, Tube Mogul,, App Nexus) and SSPs is a plus * Understanding of when to buy media direct vs in platform * Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc) * A passion for everything digital, with an active interest and understanding of online advertising industry trends * Strong understanding of optimization levers & testing approaches * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are particularly important in developing client relationships and maintaining efficient communication across the team * Great analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and confidence in making information based decisions * Adept at leading a team and partnering across various departments What you can expect from Essence Essence's mission is to make advertising more valuable to the world.
