The Director, Programmatic Media role collaborates across the Paid Media, Client Management, and Google Partner teams as the lead consultant across client media solutions. In this role, you will support the business through consulting with clients to advance their strategy, planning, executing media and technology programs on behalf of amazing brands, pitching, and supporting all aspects of our clients media activation. Additionally, directors are tasked with developing and supporting their team as well as the display department as a whole through training, mentorship, and larger process implementation.
The Programmatic Director is an expert in the industry landscape and best practices in navigating Display, Video, Audio, and Connected TV activation. The Programmatic Director develops long-term partnerships with our clients, continuously evaluating their media effectiveness, optimization, and innovation to ensure their businesses benefit and facilitate growth through that relationship.
As a Google Marketing Partner, our business has a strong relationship with Google and knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform, therefore the Programmatic Director should have a strong working and technical knowledge of the Google / Digital Marketing Products including Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics 360, and be the advocate of that technology and developments within the team and be excited by innovation and technology in our industry.
Responsibilities
- Evangelize cutting edge Programmatic technology solutions and industry trends
- Collaborate across internal teams to create holistic advertiser solutions which span all areas of the digital spectrum
- Mentor and educate members of the Programmatic Display Team to enhance platform expertise, client performance, and individuals ongoing personal development
- Manage resourcing and allocation across a large client portfolio
- Partner with Business Development to develop innovative strategies for prospective clients, including asset development, client communication, and in person client presentations
- Align with leaders across the business to create best practices, develop processes, and promote knowledge sharing
- Oversee/ensure effective deal economics, media allocation, and advertiser investment decisions
- Develop client insights, reporting, and analysis to build and continually advance client strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience of overseeing the management & success of a large client portfolio
- Demonstrable knowledge of display advertising, specifically programmatic, real-time bidding, DSP platforms, attribution models, and associated technologies
- Experience mentoring and developing junior employees
- A strong passion for problem solving and innovation
- Strong aptitude for numerical detail and analysis
- Advanced Excel/Sheets skills are essential, Macros & SQL capabilities are a plus
- Strong business writing skills and ability to produce high-quality documents
- Demonstrate a structured and methodical way of working, with the ability to cope with competing demands and effectively prioritize tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills, specifically listening, consulting, and influencing
- Experience with pricing & resourcing new client business
