FARM SERVICE AGENCY (FSA) COUNTY EMPLOYEES: Permanent County employees without prior Federal tenure who are selected for a Civil Service position under Public Law 105-277 will be given a career-conditional appointment and must serve a 1-year probationary period.

This position is assigned to the Farm Service Agency, Montana State Office, Farm Loan Program Branch, located in Bozeman, (Gallatin County), Montana.
Performs a wide range of technical and administrative duties related to loan processing, loan servicing, and office management in support of FSA Agricultural Loan programs at the field office level.
Requires the skills of a qualified typist to perform word processing and other office automation duties.
Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND FINGERPRINT CHECK: Selection and retention in this position is contingent upon a successfully adjudicated FBI National Criminal History Check (fingerprint check) and a background investigation.
Applicants must meet all qualification requirements by 11:59 p.m. EST on the closing date including time-in-grade restrictions and experience as defined below:
Time-in-grade: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS position within the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade restrictions. Applicants must generally meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (i.e., have held no lower than the GS-3 grade level within the last 52 weeks for consideration at the GS-5 grade level; one year at the GS-5 grade level for consideration at the GS-6 grade level; one year at the GS-6 grade level for consideration at the GS-7 grade level).

College Transcript: If you are qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college transcript that lists college courses detailing each course by the number and department (i.e., bio 101, math 210, etc.), course title, number of credit hours and grade earned.
