Job Description:

Point of contact for all departmental activities related to the undergraduate program including: recruitment of freshman students, and enrollment of transfer students from community colleges; creation and updating of academic records of students; providing assistance for certification of students for graduation; advising students concerning rules, regulations and requirements for earning a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; provide support for scheduling of all departmental courses, and associated instructional activities; develop and update brochures for recruitment of new students in the program; act as liaison with alumni, and community colleges; serves as an administrative assistant to the Chair to coordinate academic activities related to students, faculty, alumni and other administrative units in the university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrate ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while multi-tasking. Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrate ability to perform in a professional manner in a team environment. Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines when completing shared office tasks. Demonstrate good keyboarding skills and knowledge of PC-based software such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
