The College of Arts and Sciences is looking to hire a Program Support Specialist who's ready to be one of the friendly faces and organizational wizards that help keep everything running smoothly. To thrive in this role, strong interpersonal, customer service, and public relations skills are a must, as is the ability to work on tasks independently within a team-oriented environment.

Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in a variety of Microsoft and Google productivity applications and have the ability to learn new applications. Attention to detail and the ability to organize and track information is required. Equally important are strong organizational and time management skills including the abilities to prioritize, multitask, and adhere to deadlines.

Discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgement will be needed, as will the ability to analyze situations and apply appropriate UA and UAA policies and procedures to resolve issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Preferred: Some post-secondary education, experience in an educational setting, experience using Banner, OnBase, and UA Online.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage Alaska. It is 100% in person on the Anchorage campus.

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
