Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

GS-05: Three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-04) or equivalent. General experience may have included performing highly structured work assignments of limited difficulty combined with training that familiarizes the employee with functions and operations of the organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

GS-07: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-05) or equivalent. Specialized experience which included performance of developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of basic principles of administration program support and management of organizations or related fields.
2.Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing.
3.Ability to learn basic techniques in administration program support and management of organizations.
4.Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gathers pertinent data and recognize solutions.
5.Ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

IF USING EDUCATION TO QUALIFY: You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Job Title: EDI Support Specialist SUMMARY Focuses efforts on excellent customer service related to the use of Zirmed for eligibility, claims and reporting. Provides technical support for new payor mappings. Responsible for enrollment of payors for ERA to maximize ERA posting in CPR+. Provides ongoing feedback to Reimbursement regarding errors and reports trends. Performs insurance payor audits between CPR+ and Zirmed to ensure accurate claim submission information. Works with Process Improvement Team as part of training initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Monitors and communicates progress on the assigned tasks related to ERA Enrollment process. * Responds to inquiries regarding EDI issues with enrollment, claims, payments, and/or clearinghouse activities * Manage enrollment notices (approvals and/or rejections) from payers. * Contact payers for enrollment follow up or status as necessary * Track enrollment process to assure provider enrollment is completed with all appropriate payers * Conducts analysis of EDI transactions and is responsible for documentation and reports * Ability to multi-task and manage concurrent assignments with proper follow-ups * Respect and maintain HIPAA confidentiality guidelines. * Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with company's intellectual property. * Performs other duties as needed EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in healthcare billing with a focus on EDI is required. Experience with Zirmed is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Encounter Digital Implementation via EDI translation tool is required. Experience with network connectivity operations and/or medical claim processing is desired.
