Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

GS-05: Three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-04) or equivalent. General experience may have included performing highly structured work assignments of limited difficulty combined with training that familiarizes the employee with functions and operations of the organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

GS-07: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-05) or equivalent. Specialized experience which included performance of developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of basic principles of administration program support and management of organizations or related fields.
2.Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing.
3.Ability to learn basic techniques in administration program support and management of organizations.
4.Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gathers pertinent data and recognize solutions.
5.Ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

IF USING EDUCATION TO QUALIFY: You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

The successful candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics technical interface to the on-site customer (Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance or modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft. The preferred candidate will be an F-35 Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Fighter Aircraft Structures background and be an emerging authority who has the skillset to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of APG/Vehicle Systems or AVS/Mission Systems. Interested candidates are expected commit to two years on-site. Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of difficulties experienced in the field. Attend debriefings, to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime. Document all unusual operational / maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends. Initiate Action Requests (ARs). Identifying unique operational problems that require technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Provide on-site assistance to company and Customer personnel initiating ARs. Provide training to Customer personnel. Must be able to work with and interact with the maintainers as well as the professional engineers from other F-35 companies as a peer. Some travel required; candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and hazardous duty locations. Long term deployments may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required. Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels. Provide support for the assigned site on aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations. Direct on-site support as requested by customer, site manager or program management. Lead and track multiple engineering tasks and provide periodic status to Customer and Program Management. Must be able to obtain F-35 Special Program Access. Must have at least an Interim Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that will require special access. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 6 years experience with Low Observable (LO or SLO), with combined structures background.
