Duties

Major Duties:

  • Performs work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials/personnel to support the policy development and/or technical activities of the study and center.

  • Monitor budgets for research projects and grants. Involved in the tracking of funding and in the preparation and editing of proposals for VA based grants.

  • Maintains system of program-specific data to track items such as project budget and spending.

  • Develops and implements procedures to enable document flow and accurate filing of time sensitive records.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support work to support the activities of the study and center, including email updates, preparation for meetings, and performing data entry into databases.

  • Monitor and provide monthly review of research credentialing portal to confirm study employees can continue to conduct research. Contact non-compliant staff and work with the individual to obtain compliance to avoid any impact to the study.

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30PM

Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. Qualifications

  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials/personnel to support the policy development and/or technical activities of the study and center. Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
