The Program Supervisor is responsible to leadservices within a designated service or program to ensure that all of theindividuals we serve are supported with dignity and respect. ProgramSupervisors also are responsible to ensure staff schedules are maintained tomeet service plans to properly assist and support in social, behavioral, andhealth care needs in all areas of daily living. The PS also acts as a "goto" person for that program, serving as a mentor to other employees, promotingteamwork, and identifying any training needs.

In addition to coordinating the activities of the employeeswithin that program, the Program Supervisor delivers direct care services toindividuals on an ongoing basis.


  • Under the supervision of the Program Director, oversee the day-to-day operation of the program

  • Lead services within a designated service or program

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Direct Support Professionals

  • Supervise daily activities of Direct Support Professionals

  • Coordinate the activities for, and maintain schedules of, the employees of the program

  • Provide direct care and support to assigned individuals

  • Provide input and feedback in hiring, disciplinary, and firing decisions

  • Responsible for ensuring that onboarding, orientation and ongoing training is delivered


  • High School diploma or GED required;

  • Three years related work experience; supervisory experience preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Valid driver's license in good standing

  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks

  • A strong work ethic with a commitment to serving others

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with team members and those we serve

  • Strong organizational abilities to ensure staffing and schedules are maintained

Description Under the direction of an AreaDirector or Regional Director, the Program Director leads the day-to-day operations for program(s) providing services to individuals with Intellectual and DevelopmentalDisabilities within a community or small geographic area. Oversee theoperations of each site, including program management; financial management; propertymanagement; staff supervision and development; and maintaining individual,family, and community relations. Ensure safety and qualityof services and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaboratewith Program Coordinator and Human Resources to hire,train, schedule, and manage staff, and to create and maintain apositive work environment for all employees. * Oversee operations ofone to four programs with 10 to 25 individuals in a community or smallgeographic area with combined revenues of approximately $1 to $3 million. * Manage programimplementation of health and safety programs for individuals receiving servicesand employees. * Oversee programquality enhancement and develop individual program plans; coordinate Networkstandards, licensing requirements and individuals supported needs; review andsubmit incident reports. * Establish and managerelations with individuals receiving services, families and guardians;implement individual enhancement plans as appropriate. * Provide leadershipincluding direct supervision of assigned staff; implement Network employeepractices; implement program safety and workers' compensation programs;recommend and assist with involuntary terminations and written warnings;provide employee orientation and training. * Implement programcore growth strategy to maintain or increase census, maximize utilization andoccupancy percentages and assist with new start development as appropriate. * Maintain and fosterrelations with case managers and referral agents; lobby on behalf ofindividuals receiving services. * Responsible for thefinancial performance of individual programs; complete purchasing of programsupplies; and review and submit billing compliance documentation. * Implement programincident management protocols; ensure timely incident reporting andimplementation of corrective action. * Maintain programcompliance with Network and regulatory standards for clean, neat, safe livingand working environments. Ensurepleasant, age-appropriate, well-decorated home-like residential livingenvironments; and address any maintenance needs of residence and property. * Maintain licensingand compliance for program services and supports; ensure timely and accurateprogram documentation; implement Network compliance plan; review correctionorders; and implement compliance plans. * Direct and supervise staff including performance evaluations,scheduling, orientation, and training. Make decisions on employee hires,transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similaractions. Work closely with HR to address and resolve employee relations and performanceissues. Qualifications: * Minimum of 18 years of age * must have one of the three qualifying backgrounds: * Associate degree in a field related to human services and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR * A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR * A minimum of fifty hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; And four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in the above or QIDP. * Minimum of five to seven years' experience in the Human Services field with a minimum of two years' supervisory experience * An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements. * Licensure as required by the state * Demonstrated ability in areas of leadership, personnel, employee training, and public relations. * Skilled in written and oral communication, community relations and service development. * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior management principles, program development, and monitoring techniques. * Valid driver's license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company's insurance carrier.
