Job Description: The Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing his/her designated staff and/or designated shift, as well as providing direct service to the extent determined by the Crisis Coordinator.

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Flexible Scheduling)

Location: Exton, PA

Program: Crisis Intervention

Pay Rate: $23+/hour

Job Functions:

  • Implement service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures

  • Provide routine, quality supervision and consultation to program staff

  • Report to direct supervisor, and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive manner

  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor

  • Orient new program staff to the agency policy and procedures, the program's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and the licensure/regulatory/contractual demands of the program's services

  • Provide comprehensive, objective feedback to the program Coordinator regarding the quality of the services offered by employees under his/her supervision as part of 90-day evaluations, annual evaluations, or as otherwise needed

  • Complete all personally required training as per the Professional Development Plan or as per contractual requirements with agency payers.

  • Submit to Human Resources promptly copies of all required documentation regarding, but not limited to degrees, licenses, certifications, clearances, and training certificates

  • Maintain professional licensure and specialized certification in the designated state(s), as applicable

  • Provide quality service delivery as defined by the program description, and best practice standards, and in full compliance with licensure standards

  • Provide supervision and consultation to designated staff to support the program description, and best practice standards and to support the program in remaining in full compliance with standards

  • Maintain quality documentation of service delivery

  • Provide quality clinical training to program staff, following agency curriculum, as directed by the program Coordinator to support quality service delivery.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as implemented within his/her respective program or service line

  • Report incidents through the incident management system in a timely and effective manner

  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, payers community support service representatives, and other agencies

  • Communicate effectively with payers to maintain and renew service authorizations as clinically appropriate

  • Oversee the completion and tabulation of client outcome data, utilizing agency-endorsed outcome measures, and proposing formal recommendations for corrective action to improve service quality

  • Ability to provide the full provision of indicated services and the supporting documentation

  • Provide all authorized client services and provide supporting documentation for re-authorizations, as necessary, in a timely manner

  • Submit accurate and timely payroll and billing documentation

  • Minimize unnecessary program expenses

  • Provide direct, supervision to designated program staff, individually and group-based, regularly (as defined by the program Coordinator or agency policies and procedures)

  • Provide quality direct care service to clients consistent with the program service line, standard operating procedures manual, and agency policies and procedures

  • Provide crisis assessment and support for direct service staff, as necessary, during designated working hours and on-call hours

  • Ensure all program services are compliant with recovery principles and are culturally competent

  • Implement effective service plans and interventions consistent with client goals, needs, and strengths

  • Support staff and client access to community resources, facilitating access as necessary

  • Make prompt referrals to appropriate levels of care when the program is unable to appropriately handle client needs

  • Maintain a collaborative, working relationship with all program staff to fully support the needs of the program or service line

  • Consult with other treatment professionals as needed

  • Provide timely, comprehensive, and accurate clinical documentation

Minimum Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, education, or related fields; or A bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Experience: Two years of mental health direct care experience. A certified Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Specialist background is preferred. Peer supervisory experience is a plus.

Licensure/Certifications: Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor certification is required

Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
