Salary: $39,300.00 - $52,525.00 Annually

General Job Summary

Perform duties necessary for the inspection, approval, monitoring, and compliance of educational courses or training programs pursued by veterans and eligible persons according to the provisions of State and Federal laws and regulations, as well as U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) policies.

The position involves extensive in-state travel with occasional out of state travel. Successful candidate will be required to obtain Veteran's Administration security clearance and background check and obtain a federal Personal Identification Verification (PIV) card.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience; or Master's Degree with 3 years of related experience; or Doctoral Degree with 1 year of related experience required. VIEW JOBS 12/6/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-03-06T00:00 <p>Department of Senior Services / Kanawha Co. - Assist the Director of Medicaid Operations in all aspects of his/her job.  The Executive Assistant performs administrative and technical duties related to department meetings, agency reporting functions and verbal and written communications. <br><br> This position assists the Director in oversight of two statewide programs in addition to performing administrative duties for the Medicaid Unit.  The Executive assistant must be knowledgeable in both State and Federal program policies and respond to inquiries from service provider agencies and the public regarding Medicaid and BMS/BoSS policy.  This position also provides backup for Medicaid Unit employees.</p><p>Essential Duties:</p><ul><li><p>Compile and review all departmental reports and distribute to appropriate personnel.</p></li><li><p>Organize and schedule all in-person or virtual meetings for the Medicaid Unit.</p></li><li><p>Assist in keeping all Medicaid Unit forms, website content and other written materials up to date.</p></li><li><p>Attend all required meetings and record meeting minutes.  Distribute minutes to appropriate personnel.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and track Medicaid Unit inventory.  Order all Unit supplies.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate new employee orientation, including equipment needs.</p></li><li><p>Assist in the creation of training materials for service provider agencies and/or Medicaid Unit employees.</p></li><li><p>Communicate both verbally and in writing on behalf of the Director.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for organizing and saving Medicaid Unit documents.</p></li></ul><p>Desired Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, Survey Monkey and other computer system platforms. <br><br>  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.  Exceptional time management and organizational skills.</p><p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p><p>IMPORTANT: Your eligible score will be based on information provided in your application; therefore, make sure your application is detailed and complete.
