Program Specialist (Special Education)

To improve student achievement, the Program Specialist works under the supervision of the central office administration to assist in planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, and supervising specific programs/projects/assignments.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:A valid California Teaching or Pupil Services CredentialEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of five (5) years of applicable experienceCERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING REQUIRED:Must hold valid Teaching Credential Must pass the District's applicable proficiency exam (e.g., oral interview, written test, or work sample) for the job class with a satisfactory score After an offer of employment, must obtain: Criminal Justice and FBI Fingerprint ClearanceNegative pre-employment drug screen test at District's expense Pre-employment physical exam at District's expense Negative TB test results plus post-employment retest as required (currently every 4 years)
