Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to analyze business opportunities for the Performance Group members. This will include estimating savings opportunities, developing schedules, assisting with creating project plans and providing actionable analytical data to various groups within Premier. This position will work in conjunction with Premier staff, owner hospitals, contract management team and suppliers to promote utilization of Performance Group contracts. In addition, this position will be responsible promoting and managing Performance Group rules, responsibility for Performance Group categories and supporting various lines of business as they source Performance Group categories.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Partner with the Product Planning team to ensure the development of consistent analytic research in the pre-negotiations phase of sourcing that highlight and recommend sourcing rationale including must-have suppliers, sub-category/item level performance, etc. This individual will drive the usage of all relevant and appropriate data sources to ensure accurate sourcing decisions are made.

  • Performs analytics and produces key targeting and performance monitoring deliverables for Performance Group portfolio. Will be required to identify, obtain and analyze various disparate internal and external data sources required for completion of required deliverables. Will be required to communicate with contract managers and have robust product planning, negotiations, and performance monitoring knowledge. Will be required to manage to tight timelines and manage the expectations to meet the 90-day launch requirements for contracts. Will be required to explain complex targeting concepts and calculations to contract managers, directors, and the Field.

  • Design and provide day to day management of analytic projects with assigned members

  • Assist with education, utilization and standardization studies through the use of various data sets (clinical and financial).

  • Develop tools and databases using Excel, Access, SQL, Netezza, Oracle and other sources to meet project requirements.

  • Analyze market trends, product usage, and spend history.

  • Track program compliance at the member and contract level for Performance Groups

  • Develop and deliver communication of analytic insights.

  • Assist with integration of analytic insight into business processes and outcomes measurement.

  • Partner and align with sourcing, contract management, data management, and specific field force personnel to understand member-specific pricing and contract elements

  • Lead analysis of and model projects involving data related to the healthcare supply spend of specific Premier members.

  • Perform financial analysis ensuring accuracy via various methodologies (financial, statistical, formatting, common sense checks).

  • Identify potential business performance improvements and either savings and/or contracting opportunities based on analytical data review and analysis.

  • Support line(s) of business during the sourcing process and work in concert with contract management to support the Performance Group awarded suppliers.

  • Attend supplier BLRs and assist with targeting.

  • Maintain and support the Performance Group awarded suppliers with the Performance Group members.

Education & Work Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required.

  • Information Systems, MIS, Business, healthcare or related field.

  • 3 years of experience.

  • 5 years of experience preferred.

Type of Experience:

  • Contracting, materials management, supply chain, financial analysis experience.

  • Business or systems analysis, application development or technical quality assurance.

  • Experience with designing and developing metrics and reporting methodologies; analyzing data; presenting results to internal and external leadership.

  • Project management experience a plus.

  • SQL experience.

  • MicroStrategy experience.

This role will report directly to the Head of Centralized Operations or a delegated manager. In this role you will provide management oversight of our centralized litigation attorney network and ensure that assigned accounts are managed properly and within the established service level agreements. The ideal candidate will have an advanced understanding of the litigation process, collection techniques and be able to manage external attorney's performance while keeping a healthy client relationship. In addition, oversight responsibilities include adherence to applicable regulations and company policies. You will work closely with operations, compliance, audit, legal, and other key partners who may be both internal and external to the organization. As a key member of the Centralized Operations team that is growing rapidly, you have an opportunity to grow professionally in this role. Job responsibilities are as follows: * Effectively manage our external attorneys in the pursuit of maximizing both pre and post charge off recovery of past due accounts. * Review placements with each attorney firm to determine if they are efficiently working all accounts * Escalate identified exceptions with attorney firms and resolve timely * Evaluate capacity within attorney network and determine if additional relationships are needed * Prepare monthly performance review materials and hold monthly attorney performance update meetings. * Perform root cause analysis and assist in corrective action planning, as needed. * Engage compliance team when appropriate; Solicit clarification and interpretations of new and existing regulations that affect the organizations current and future processes. * Ensure departmental processes are adhered to while maintaining updated process and procedure Responsibility for ensuring department standards and goals are achieved. * Effectively collaborate with the appropriate business heads to support critical business projects. * Monitor and manage work flow to ensure highest levels of efficiencies. Qualifications * Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience working with attorney firms that specialize in consumer loan collections * Experience engaging attorney firms and discussing performance * Strong leadership skills and people management. * Experience in a multi skill call center environment a plus. * Experience in financial services a plus. * Bachelor degree in business or related concentration a plus. * Strong communication and writing skills. * An individual who takes a lead by example approach in working with team members. * Operates at the highest level of integrity and takes a transparent approach to managing. * Strong financial and analytical skills. * Continuous and effective team leadership skills with demonstrated track record. * Ability to teach and effectively motivate others.
