Job Summary:

The Program Specialist will provide administrative support to the Center for Rural Health and Center for Health Systems Innovation. Program Specialist duties include but are not limited to basic administrative assistant duties (answering phones, greeting customers, etc.), managing calendars, processing travel reimbursement, develop and respond to social media content, draft press releases, and quarterly newsletters. Other projects and/or assignments, as needed.

Environmental Hazards:

Typical office environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience

  • At least one (1) year of experience in an administrative type position

  • Experience managing calendars, coordinating travel, and supporting various grant activities through timely filing of documents

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
