Program Specialists play a special role in bringing our unique curriculum to life in our centers. As a Program Specialist, you'll develop and lead programs from implementation in our classrooms to ongoing enhancements meant to exceed expectations.

  • Ensure our world-class curriculum is presented as intended and that teachers can speak to the curriculum and what children are learning

  • Spend 75% of your time in the classroom, educating children and mentoring and modeling for teachers

  • Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children

  • Train, motivate and lead staff and assist center management with interviewing and hiring of teachers

  • Support your center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day

  • Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Approved State Trainer (preferred)

  • NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)

  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role

  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

We are currently seeking an experienced CARES Program Specialist who is organized and data driven to evaluate and improve our current program.. This position can be located anywhere in the state of WI. The Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival (CARES) Program Specialist is responsible for providing training expertise for the CARES program training area such as instructional design or training delivery systems. The role designs, implements, coordinates, oversees and provides technical support for all aspects of the CARES program integration. Serves as liaison to CARES Cardiac Oversight staff (third party organization) and works with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program. Maintains complete and accurate program records. Conducts program research and ensures that the preparations of mandatory operational and statistical reports are fact-based. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable State and local regulations. Under the direction of Senior Manager, Instructor Development & Quality Assurance, the CARES Program Coordinator implements, operates, designs, administers and documents CARES technical components of the program * Develops best practices and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with current industry standards * Responsible for conducting analysis of current CARES database. Work with CARES Oversight Staff in generating reports and other data requests * Provide training and oversight for participating communities (EMS, Fire Dept., First Responders, etc.,) to ensure consistency in the data collection, auditing and reporting processes. Responsible for sharing CARES program information in the form of manuals, data definitions, publications. * Attends online meetings, telephone conference calls to maintain the data collection integrity and continually assess communication and information sharing process with each participating EMS agency, hospital, and dispatch center in your state. * Conduct assessments of CARES data base training activities effectiveness as applicable. * Responsible for coordinating the daily operational tasks that are needed for the maintenance of participating and future states and sites * Responsible for outreach to potential project partners in local, regional healthcare as well as community-based partnerships, which may require occasional travel. * Supports all communication efforts by sharing general findings and updates on CARES progress/development to the key stakeholders in the state as well as program participants. * Manages meetings schedule with CARES partners and participating EMS agencies and hospital contacts. * Additional duties may include the following: Teaches Red Cross Health and Safety courses within their current certifications to businesses and to the community when required to support Service Delivery business needs. Qualifications Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Experience: Minimum 1 year related professional or technical experience in Education, Training, Instructional Design, Human Resources Development or relevant field required. Certifications: Current certification to be an instructor in discipline is desired. Additional training and certification will be provided to qualified candidate after hire through American Red Cross Health & Safety Service courses. Once certified, the individual must maintain current basic and instructor level certifications for the courses they have been hired to teach. Experience: Previous experience in education, adult training or service industry preferred. Basic computer and email skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs Comfort and experience in using audio-visual technology (computer/LCD, PowerPoint, etc.) for educational delivery.
