As first level of the program series, monitor and evaluate program and resources. Duties include Inmate Contract Billings for several entities. Answering main Public to Jail inbound line. Face to face transactions including money handling, bond writing, visitation duties and communicating general information daily. Act as a client/community advocate. Gather, and review data to ensure work meets program requirements. Assemble and prepare final documents and files for review.

Essential Duties

Under general supervision, performs specialized work for the Detention Services Division of the Sheriff's Office.

  • Perform outreach at community events, shelters, hospitals, nursing homes or other program related sites to screen potential candidates for assigned program. Assess client abilities, needs, histories and qualifications for programs.

  • Provide routine community education through individual consultations and organized events. Promote and represent departmental programs. Create and distribute materials related to program activities. Respond to general inquiries related to services. Provide referrals as needed.

  • Gather data through client assessment, intake interviews and supporting documentation. Review and analyze documents and files to determine if procedures and regulations are being met.

  • Act as an advocate for client throughout participation in assigned program. Monitor and evaluate services provided. Ensure that proper procedures and documentation are used. Assist in resolving problems.

  • Maintain records, statistics, documents and files related to program. Prepare related reports using established guidelines and formats.

  • Monitor administrative budget for assigned area. Ensure expenditures and revenue reports are correct.


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • One year of experience in clerical or administrative functions or related work

  • Colorado Driver's License is required within 90 days of hire.

Applicants should have intermediate reading, math, and writing skills.
