The Program Specialist position is located in the DPAA, IT/CIO Directorate, IT Policy & Program Management Division. DPAA is responsible for oversight of the entire process for investigating, recovering, and the accounting for missing and unaccounted for personnel from past conflicts. The position manages and directs IT acquisition programs and systems for the DPAA.

As a Program Specialist, GS-0301-12, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
Serves as a focal point for resolving difficult problems/issues associated with programs and systems
Defines and implements business processes within the office in order to facilitate system integration and enhance system effectiveness
Provides overall strategic program management support for IT cost-center, data center obligations, and moderately complex IT acquisitions
Analyzes and evaluates on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of IT acquisitions in meeting established goals and objectives
Assists IT leadership to identify, promote, and execute program functions and technical solutions for unique IT and telecommunications requirements, secures funding resources through budget requests, establishes program and project objectives and manages them to completion.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to
