Job Summary

The Program Specialist position is an 8-hour work day and 212-day work year on the LBUSD management salary schedule. The primary responsibilities will be to support the needs of the special education department with increased site and district-level support. The position directly reports to the Director of Special Education and will assist with the supervision of designated staff within the department, including Workability and Transition staff and key itinerant staff.

Education/ Experience: Three or more years of experience working directly in special education programs is required. Three or more years of administrative or administrative-related experience is highly preferred. Master's Degree in a related field Certification/Licenses Required: Education Specialist/Mild Moderate, Speech/Language Specialist, or Pupil Personnel Services Credential with authorization to serve as a Psychologist or School Counselor Administrative Credential (or Certificate of Eligibility)

  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three including one from your most recent supervisor)
