D372 is in search of an engineering program/business representative. This job has multiple responsibilities that will focus on supporting D372 from a business perspective specifically, developing work templates, building manning plans and forecasting workloads for the department. This person will have regular interaction with the department supervisors, manager, and director to understand workflow, prioritization and forecasting. The individual will be responsible for developing tools and preparing information/reports in support of executive level meetings and customer engagements. This requires frequent engagement with stakeholders across Electric Boat organizations.
Responsibilities:
This position will support lead component engineers with programmatic activities in support of new design qualification efforts, for example:
Support in department reporting requirements (acting as the liaison between engineering and multiple program offices)
Develop and maintain department "scorecard" containing key performance metrics
Development of Technical Information (TI) and Vendor Order (VO) documentation packages which are the vehicle for department and vendor funding
Business support of the department specifically reviewing manning profiles and work flow
Work in earned value management systems providing updates on project progression and monitor performance
Coordinating department training opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives
Keeping in tune with larger EB trends on safety or other EB-wide information that is beneficial to flow to department leadership and working level
Responsibilities
Knowledge of and past experience with development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule, on any level
Knowledge and experience in Earned Value Management tools
An understanding of and experience in Project Management Software
Qualifications
Required:
A bachelor of science degree in science, mathematics, or business degree, or related field
3 years of relevant experience
Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)
