This position manages Quality Assurance processes and / or projects as an individual contributor. This position would have a special focus on the Zero-Defect Plans (ZDP) process and working with our Phoenix and Puerto Rico sites to drive a step change customer satisfaction and quality performance. This role works to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the organizational quality goals and within the large commercial value stream. It also uses expertise to provide input on processes, standards, and plans to continuously improve quality.
Develops and implements Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) for Electric Power Systems. This role will focus primarily on the large commercial value stream with a read across into the military and regional/business jet value streams.
This role will drive progress of Zero-Defect Plans (ZDP) milestones which include escape data reviews, manufacturing process reviews, non-advocate reviews, statistical first articles, and others. This role will primarily focus on the Phoenix and Puerto Rico sites to ensure that we achieve agreed upon customer commitments.
Develops projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving and directs implementation of Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) for Phoenix and Puerto Rico. It may also include working with supplier quality for recommendations on sub-components to include in the Zero-Defect Plans (ZDP).
Provides expertise in elements of the Zero Defect Plan (ZDP) ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements. While providing expertise, mentorship of others will be critical to this role. Developing a pipeline of future Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) leads and ensuring the Electric Power Systems sites are capable of leading manufacturing process reviews as well as non-advocate reviews.
Leads collection and analysis of Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) information from multiple sources to develop quality strategy and programs.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience
In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)and a minimum of 8 years of
prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or hard science discipline (or related field) is preferred
5 years of experience in either a quality, supply chain, operations, hard science, or other position dealing with manufacturing quality process techniques, quality improvement programs and customer satisfaction preferred
Quality certifications are desired (FAA, ASQ CQE, AS9100, etc.) is preferred
CQE Certified Quality Engineer is preferred
FAA and conformity experience are preferred
