Under supervision of the Program Administrator, assists with the Military Family Relief Fund (MFRF) (A.R.S. 41-608.4) established by Arizona Legislature to provide financial assistance to family members of deceased, wounded, injured or seriously ill service members of Veterans. In addition, this position is responsible for the assisting with coordinating the outreach Minority Veterans Programs, which includes planning, preparations and implementation of three annual Women Veteran Expos; gathering pertinent data specific to the needs of minority Veterans; Making evidence based recommendations to the Program Administrator to address the needs of minority Veterans; assist with the implementation of the Arizona Road- map to Veterans Employment; ongoing support of the Arizona Road- map to end Veterans Homeless

Developing policy and procedure
MS Office Suite, handling sensitive data
Monitoring contractual agreements
Interpret rules and regulations as they relate to the assignment and utilize the interpretation to guide research
Learn, interpret and apply Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to MFRF and minority Veterans
Plan and coordinate operations while providing effective customer service
Establish and maintain internal and external customer contacts
Interact diplomatically with management, officials elected officials and the general public
Learn proprietary database programs
Process sensitive information with care
Maintain client confidentiality
SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR(S):
This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
