Candidate will support the Javelin Spiral Development Program as the Production Operations Spiral Development IPT Lead. The candidate will lead a cross-functional team consisting of production centers, manufacturing engineering, production planning and control, design engineering, test engineering, procurement, configuration management, and quality. The IPT lead is responsible for executing the manufacturing development build to meet the schedule, and driving Affordability and Producibility. This position requires continuous interface across all programmatic functions, leading discussions with internal and external customers on schedule and technical performance. Professional leadership and conduct in interactions with USG customer, and domestic partners. Candidate will proactively identify and manage Risks and Opportunities, develop workarounds, develop recovery plans and present to program and operations management. Candidate will support proposal activities throughout all production and development activities. Candidate will be required to travel (~1-2 weeks/month) to the various manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customer meetings on an as-needed basis. Successful candidate will be responsible for Transition to Production of new Javelin variants.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, or Business related field

  • 7-10 years of related work experience with correlating Bachelors or Masters degree

  • Experience with production scheduling and execution

  • Successfully implemented cost, schedule, quality, and/or safety cost improvements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Candidate will manage production activities on the S&GS Advanced and Special program as well as special projects for the Advanced and Special Programs team as directed by the SGSAP Operations Manager. Responsible for cost and schedule across six (6) manufacturing centers. Significant coordination with other functional areas and sites including engineering, quality, procurement, Ocala and Santa Barbara to drive key program tasks and improvements. Responsibilities include leading the strategic direction of the program in the areas of proposals, program planning and execution, manpower planning, capital/capacity planning, NRE activity and process development. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with the customer and at all levels of management via verbal and written correspondence and be able to author program directives (PD's). Position may involve limited travel. MFCProdOpsQMS Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related field. Must have a minimum of an Interim Secret clearance Production/Manufacturing experience.
