Responsibilities

The Program Operations Manager - Group Fitness will perform administrative and operational duties within a large corporate account with an emphasis on the group exercise program. This position will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will work closely with several other program operations leaders to ensure programs, systems and processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Answering email questions, requests, and updates from staff members, group exercise instructors, and fitness center participants

  • Scheduling group exercise classes at multiple studio locations throughout the Bay Area

  • Reviewing and approving payroll submissions for group exercise instructors

  • Auditioning and hiring group exercise instructors to fill new and existing class needs

  • Supporting other Program Operations Managers in the operation and organization of key program services

  • Helping to develop reports and presentations as required

  • Assisting in the creative process for incentive and health promotion initiatives, including bulletin boards, newsletters, email mailings, and fliers

  • Working with Program Operations Managers to review and analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement

  • Contributing to the analysis of program metrics, data and financial tracking

  • Collaborating on the creation of new offerings and services

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 1 year operations or program coordination experience

  • Minimum 1 year proven ability to provide high quality customer service

Preferred:

  • Energy and passion for helping others achieve their personal goals, human performance, fitness and wellness

  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic

  • Work experience in a group exercise studio or fitness center environment

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, or as a team, and proactively with minimum supervision

  • Confidence to critically assess, manage, and streamline systems and operations

  • Proficiency in GSuite and Microsoft Office

  • Experience using MindBody Online business management software

  • Experience and/or subject matter expertise in group exercise or sports programming

  • Proven ability to build relationships
