Main tasks include:

Program Manager

The Hospital Violence Intervention Program Lead is responsible for ensuring that the hospital-based violence intervention program meets the objectives of the program. The Hospital Violence Intervention Program exists as part of a citywide grant funded program to engage with patients who have recently experienced violent injury. Through this program, a Hospital Responder meets with every violently injured patient who is admitted to the hospital and offers connection to services including (crime victims compensation, a path to safe housing, mental health services and more). Additionally, any patient who consents to the services offered will be connected to the Community Case Manager who will work with the patient in the community to meet the patient's stated goals of service. The Hospital Violence Intervention Program Lead will oversee both the Hospital Responder and the Community Case Manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required; BA in Social Sciences or Social Work preferred; MPH, MSW or LGSW preferred

Minimum 1 year leadership experience required

Minimum 1 year in healthcare preferred

Experience working in violence prevention/intervention preferred

DC Peace Academy Training preferred

Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to make quality, independent decisions

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Self-directed

Demonstrated problem solving, data assembly and action planning ability leading to the development of actions plans that will prove helpful in achieving measurable objectives

Ability to organize, formulate, educate and facilitate problem solving teams

Demonstrative ability to work without supervision towards a desire outcome

Expertise in Microsoft Office and Database management
