Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical activities related to Ambulatory & Post-Acute performance and operations. The program manager will work closely with service line leaders, site and unit managers, and executives to align with Orlando Health's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Ambulatory & Post-Acute leadership to develop, coordinate, and implement service line specific clinical and special projects in alignment with the division and Orlando Health.

  • Works with the leadership team to develop a culture and patient care environment that embraces quality and patient safety in compliance with the requirements of the various regulatory agencies.

  • Develops and implements plans in collaboration with leadership to address specific operating challenges and concerns.

  • Works in collaboration with leadership on initiatives designed to support the Orlando Health Nursing Strategic Plan.

  • Develops and submits to the Chief Clinical Officer plans consistent with overall goals of nursing and clinical care, particularly as they relate to accreditation, regulation, and corporate goals of Orlando Health.

  • Serves as a liaison for Ambulatory & Post-Acute leadership as representation for nursing on Orlando Health multidisciplinary councils and committees.

  • Serves as a liaison with facility development and Ambulatory & Post-Acute leadership for site, unit, facility, or hospital construction projects.

  • Educates and communicates to all Ambulatory & Post-Acute leaders and staff on process improvement initiatives and special project performance metrics.

  • Provides ongoing support and expertise in nursing and special projects.

  • Collaborates with peers across Orlando Health to assure their understanding of the PI process and to assure reporting of appropriate clinical, quality, safety, and regulatory indicators based on the organization's focus.

  • Implements and maintains performance improvement programs that lead to positive, measurable organizational outcomes based on organizational and service line performance improvement initiatives.

  • Acts as a liaison between leadership, joint ventures, team members, and Orlando Health Quality Team with timely communication of pertinent information to improve patient care and service on an ongoing manner.

  • Utilizes the EHR effectively to create dashboards for Ambulatory & Post-Acute at varying sites.

  • Embraces, communicates, and promotes effective change.

  • Conducts reviews for appropriate utilization of services.

  • Organizes and leads workgroups to achieve success with Ambulatory & Post-Acute metrics.

  • Participates in the planning and implementation of new technologies and procedures that support or enhance quality and patient safety activities.

  • Assists in Ambulatory & Post-Acute clinical and non-clinical committees and all its activities.

  • Assures compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and agencies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Chief Clinical Officer or other Ambulatory & Post-Acute AVP, VP, or SVP.

  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

  • Works with Human Resources and Organizational Development in the development of recruitment and retention strategies for nursing and leadership development for nursing management.

  • Knowledge of customer experience and proactively works to achieve Orlando Health's goal for HCAHPS.

  • Actively invests in their own personal growth and must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patient population.

  • Delivers key verbal and written quality messages effectively.

  • Actively participates on corporate committees, task forces, and community committees.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Licensure/Certification

Maintain current Florida RN licensure.

Experience

Three (3) years of closely related experience.

Two (2) years of leadership experience preferred.
