BAE Systems is looking for a Systems Engineering Division Program Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting sustainment efforts for the Minuteman III (MM III) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system. The MM III is a 1970s era weapon system and is scheduled to be retained as the United States military's prompt, global strike deterrent system through the 2030s.

The Systems Engineering Division Program Manager will lead a diverse ISC Division supporting all aspects of Minuteman III Systems Engineering, Integration and Test. They will oversee a division of 200 personnel providing engineering support to operational activities related to the MMIII Weapon System and integration with the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent. They will be responsible for Cost Schedule and delivery for their portfolio and be the primary interface with the customer Division Chief for Minuteman III Engineering.

This PM will support the NIE Office in providing systems engineering and technical support to ensure Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) for the nation's ICBM force across it total lifecycle. They will also oversee the Operational Test Launch Program and the CDRL deliverables in support of Air Force Global Strike Command and the delivery of 2 of the key support products, the Weapon System Effectiveness Report and the Minuteman Operational Accuracy Report. The PM will manage and deliver corporate objectives including ROS, product delivery to include hours delivered, quality and business growth.

Additionally, the PM will augment the government customer by providing weapon system expertise in maintaining the following programs: Environmental, Corrosion Control, System Safety, Nuclear Surety, Mission Assurance, Systems Engineering Processes, Weapon System Software integration and test, Weapon System Test, Evaluation and Assessment, Technical Order Production, Technical Content Management, Configuration Management, Parts Engineering, and DMSMS. Programs will be maintained for the MM III weapon system in accordance with requirements detailed in Department of Energy, Department of Defense, United States Strategic Command, and Air Force directives, manuals and instructions.

Additionally, successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to accomplish the following activities while leading a team of subject matter experts and engineers accomplishing the same:

  • Manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects. Ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives.

    Participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company. Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security. Direct people-management responsibility is required.

  • Attend conferences and meetings to represent assigned activity. Developing working group meeting agendas, preparing and consolidating briefing materials, meeting minutes, and answers to action items assigned by other agencies or organizations

  • Conduct research in areas which require a high level of expertise and knowledge in areas of specialization and some related fields. Maintaining knowledge in area of specialization and awareness of developments in the remaining related fields, including extensive contributions to proposal efforts when requested by management

  • Evaluate plans and criteria for technical activities and recommending alternatives as required to comply with customer and company obligations.

  • Direct project activities or segments of major projects responsible for achievement of schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives.

    Prepare project execution plan and identify technical and business resources needed.

    Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

    Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.

  • Handle other duties as assigned.
