Sayres is seeking an experienced Project Lead/Strategic Planner to support our client in Quantico, VA. The strategy planner must have at least 15 years' experience as a strategic planner and be knowledgeable of the challenges facing government organizations in creating and executing strategic plans.
The Program Manager/Strategic Planner will be responsible for:
Lead and facilitate strategic planning activities with senior and mid-level leaders throughout the Defense Security Service (DSS).
Administer and analyze the results of climate surveys to the DSS workforce.
Provide project management support including the planning and execution of the DSS Senior Leader Annual Meetings (SLAMs) and Mini-SLAMs.
Provide support to the Strategic Management Office (SMO) in the performance of activities involving the DSS senior leaders and management in performance of strategic management activities.
Provide executive leadership coaching to senior executive service members and senior leaders at DSS to achieve leadership alignment around DSS' goals and common purpose.
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements
Masters' degree with at least 15 years' experience as a strategic planner.
At least three (3) years' experience in DSS or in some element of industrial security.
Knowledgeable of physical, cyber, and personnel security requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Certification as either an executive leadership coach or as a certified and trained facilitator.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to gain trust of senior leaders.
Current Secret security clearance. Clearance must be verified in JPAS prior to start date.
Top Secret Security clearance.
Program Management experience and PMP Certification.
Experience with Balanced Score Card Analysis.
