Program Manager/Sr. Program Manager



  • Acts as internal resource to KBR Leaders to drive operational improvements for critical/high leverage projects by leading multi-disciplined, cross-functional teams

  • Assists leaders in developing long-term strategic plans for growth and implementing processes and operating systems that create strategic differentiators for KBR

  • Provides guidance based on the Project Management framework for KBR on contract projects

  • Reviews and accesses the project management methodologies (based on the Project Management Institute). Based on the assessment, assists the project managers on developing artifacts with direct linkage and traceability to the Statement of Work

  • Works with Segment Leaders to continue to mature the Voice of the Customer process into project reviews and ensures visible actionable plan are created

  • Active mentor too targeted Project Managers and PP&C with critical projects with regularly scheduled reviews and with specific development plans

  • Assists in identifying and implementing Project Manager processes, process improvements, and needed skills development for all KBR Project Managers

  • Drives adherence to documented project management best practices through periodic project inspection from regularly scheduled reviews

  • Assists in recovery of troubled projects where changes to planning artifacts are necessary

  • Assembles subject matter experts for project planning to form drop in expert team to reestablish executable project artifacts

  • Communicates about Project Management procedures, tools & templates, creates customized tools as necessary

  • Conducts Project Management training

  • Sets up mentoring program for new Project Managers, Task Order leads, and PJMs

  • Conducts assessments to measure compliance with procedures and identify improvement opportunities

  • Establishes and or maintains a data repository for project records & lessons learned

  • Performs operational analysis of business processes

  • Assists in maintaining the Quality Management Program by leading continuous improvement efforts and conducting internal audits

  • Develops and prepares metrics and related reports, using Visual Management techniques

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Position Scope:

Provides coaching, direction and assistance to all levels or the organization


Program Manager:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of related experience.

Sr. Program Manager:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute desired

  • Certified ISO Auditor desired

  • Clear understanding of the FAR 52-245 and experience with Gvt Asset tracking, and compliance metrics

  • Technical process improvement knowledge and expertise

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
