POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Manager is responsible for operational activities of HRSA funded, RYAN WHITE PART D program. The goals of the RYAN WHITE Part D are delineated in the work scope and include monitoring the transition process for adolescents/young adults to engage in care in the adult HIV program, enhancement of the transition of pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS to the adults' program after delivery, retention of adolescents, young adults, and newly identified women in care, and monitoring quality of care for HIV infected children, youth and women. The Program Manager will work in conjunction with doctors, program faculty and staff. The Program Manager provides training, guidance and oversight to assigned staff. She/He monitors that staff by following approved protocols and procedures, ensuring that newly diagnosed HIV infected youth and women are engaged in our program that current patients are retained and that quality measures are incorporated in program goals.

The Program Manager will also serve in the Medical Case Manager role and be responsible for carrying out the goals of the HRSA Ryan Project with regards to Women Living with HIV/AIDS. Major targets include:

  • Engagement of pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS into care, and addressing barriers to care such as health insurance enrollment and transportation.

  • Engagement of targeted women living with HIV/AIDS at risk of falling out of care or at risk of incomplete immune reconstitution (CD4 <200) in medical care and addressing barriers to continuing medical engagement.

  • Transition of HIV infected pregnant women into HIV care in the Adult HIV Program following delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent education is acceptable.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years direct work experience . Supervisory experience desirable.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong supervisory, teamwork and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of community resources and public health promotion.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to guide, direct, mentor, train and work collaboratively in a team building environment.

  • An organized work style and ability to keep written documentation.

  • Possess and maintain a current, valid Massachusetts driver's license and successfully complete a motor vehicle driving records check.
