The Program Senior Group Manager indirectly manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how different project teams contribute to achieving the objectives of the Wholesale Credit Risk Transformation Program (the "Program"). A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the Program within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the Program and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation with stakeholders may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Will be responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an integral member of the Program leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of projects.

  • Manages a functional area of the Program by applying a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple projects as well as underlying business principles.

  • Identifies stakeholders in key organizations and build and manage relationships with each stakeholder.

  • Directs the creation of multiple programs of work and manage their alignment to business goals.

  • Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.

  • Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.

  • Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meet business objectives and partner with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.

  • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.

  • Assists program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program is completed within stated time lines.

  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.

  • Directs the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.

  • Indirectly manages a team of employees and coach and evaluate performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotion etc.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience

  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Program or Project Manager, Lead, PMO or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects

  • Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management

  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or MBA are a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree and managerial experience

The objectives of supervision are to:</p><p>Evaluate and promote the overall safety and soundness of supervised institutions</p><p>Ensure supervised institutions' compliance with relevant laws and regulations</p><p>Facilitate the stability of the financial system of the United States</p><p>Support the growth and stability of the U.S. economy.</p><p>Supervision is carried out through a combination of methods, including through on-site and off-site examinations involving staff dedicated to the supervision of individual firms, and through other professionals focused on analytical, policy and risk matters. Supervision is coordinated with other US agencies.</p><p>The Large and Foreign Banking Organization (LFBO) Function is responsible for monitoring and assessing the safety and soundness of all domestic two large domestic and all foreign-owned firms in the Second District.</p><p>Your role as a LFBO Capital Markets Risk Supervising Examiner:</p><p>As an LFBO Capital Markets Risk Supervising Examiner, you will work in a dynamic, team environment and play an important role in helping the Federal Reserve carry out its regulatory responsibilities. The Capital Markets Risk Supervising Examiner will serve as the wholesale credit risk expert responsible for evaluating the risk management and control frameworks of complex financial institutions with respect to wholesale credit risk. This entails leading and/or contributing to firm-specific and horizontal supervisory reviews in the areas of governance, strategy, financial condition, independent risk management, internal controls (including Credit Review and Internal Audit), and business line management.</p><p>Core responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Leading or participating in firm specific and horizontal examinations; developing well supported supervisory assessments.</p></li><li><p>Presenting examination results to supervised institutions, Federal Reserve management, staff, and other supervisory authorities.</p></li><li><p>Driving continuous monitoring regimes including meetings with management, and review and analysis of internal risk reports, business plans, committee meeting minutes, and other materials for the assigned institution(s).</p></li><li><p>Staying abreast of supervisory developments in the area of capital markets and wholesale credit risk management.</p></li><li><p>Performing work under limited supervision with extensive autonomy and discretion; planning and arranging short- and long-term work.</p></li><li><p>Actively providing guidance, mentoring, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
