We are hiring a Program Manager (non-technical) to lead the visual merchandising strategy for a number of key product categories in-store. You will have the unique opportunity to influence the customer journey, promote discovery for our customers, own merchandising for multiple categories and lead cross-functional projects with internal teams.
The successful candidate is a great program manager and problem solver, and a strong partner to category teams to ensure business requirements and priorities are captured and executed correctly in store. The candidate will also be able to effectively balance the art and science of retail and identify solutions and processes to scale. He/she thrives in ambiguous environment has a willingness to roll up their sleeves to do whatever necessary in a start-up environment. He/she is an excellent writer, analytical by nature, creative, and able to influence at all levels of the organization.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program Ownership: You will be asked to develop, execute and deliver on detailed plans that will scale with our business. You will drive multiple projects simultaneously, defining timelines and communicating on status, risks, and process changes.
Visual Merchandising: Day-to-day planogram management which includes designing detailed merchandising guidance for in store features, optimizing for visual presentation, in-store set up, and the customer shopping experience. Your key internal customers include marketing, category, and store operations teams.
Work with key partners to define, support, and measure the success of our in-store demo experience.
Experiment, iterate, and learn how to merchandise stores and identify process or accessories to effectively manage our business as it evolves in partnership with category, operational, and category teams.
Benchmark our merchandising strategy against other retail competition, monitor industry trends, calibrate based on feedback and findings, and deliver exceptional experiences for customers and your product categories.
Utilize the onsite lab (showroom replica) to test new solutions, lead leadership walkthroughs, and prepare visuals for store communication.
5+ years of business operations experience in a fast-moving, high-visibility business where you optimized processes to gain efficiencies
5+ years of physical (brick and mortar) retail, product/brand/vendor management, or comparable experience
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and simultaneously in both tactical and strategic modes
Strong problem-solving skills and business judgment, including the ability to analyze cost/benefit tradeoffs and prioritize accordingly
Polished written and oral communication skills, with experience influencing senior leadership
Good understanding of physical retail fundamentals across store operations, store development, category, and operations
Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
Roll-out of large scale initiatives
