Duties and Responsibilities
*The Program Manager provides management of administrative and operational functions primarily for the Chair of the Department of Medicine, managing programs relating to development, design, and evaluation of academic programs.
*Serves as an executive assistant to the Department Chair, providing advanced, senior-level, complex professional responsibilities; ensuring achievement and advancement of the Department of Medicine's excellence in teaching, research, and service.
3.Serves as principal administrative contact and liaison between the Chair, JABSOM, Department faculty and staff, residency and fellowship programs, healthcare systems, and other affiliated organizations.
4.Works independently developing and implementing a wide range of complex administrative duties impacting research, teaching, and clinical activities including project and strategic planning, prioritization, execution, and training while fostering collaboration of faculty, staff, and key stakeholders.
6.Assists the Chair with developing, mapping, and scoping project timelines, and coordinating events and meetings for internal and external audiences.
7.Prioritizes matters for the Chair; redirects matters to appropriate team members, as needed.
8.Prepares, maintains, and handles confidential and sensitive information pertaining to personnel, fiscal, procurement, and patient information with multiple affiliated stakeholders.
9.Creates reports and documents for a variety of projects and strategic planning including but not limited to memos, PowerPoint presentations, financial spreadsheets and flowcharts.
Supervises lower level administrative support, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
1.Possession of a baccalaureate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, project management or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project management in a business, healthcare, research or academic setting; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
2.Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of project management in a business, healthcare, research or academic setting as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
3.Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with contracts, strategic planning, budgets, and program design and management in a business, healthcare, research or academic setting.
4.Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
5.Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
6.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
7.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing software, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
8.If applicable, for supervisory work, demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.
9.Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Desirable Qualifications
1.Three to five years prior experience in supporting a senior executive or team.
2.Research administration experience.
3.Executive Assistant experience.
4.Financial or Technology service industry experience.
5.Management or supervisory experience.
