What you will do-
On Global Quality and Operation's (GQO's) journey to becoming a world class value chain partner, the GQO Transformation is a focused investment in large scale programs to advance our value delivery through evolving capability, driving efficiency, and engaging talent. The Program Manager, Transformation Delivery will play a key role through ensuring complex, transformative initiatives meet objectives by ensuring robust program management.
Partner with GQO transformation initiative owners to build program plans for delivery of strategic and financial objectives
Influence across the organization by building global relationships
Ensure business, quality and financial context is understood and represented in program design and decisions
Assume overall responsibility for multiple projects within the overall program including business readiness deliverables and drive adherence to phase gate exit and overall project deadlines
Assign accountability and authority for decisions across the team
Communicates and sets expectations across divisions, functions, 3rd party vendors, consulting partners, project teams, and stakeholders depending on program needs
Creates and maintains appropriate program documentation (e.g. charter, road map, benefits map) to meet business goals and program objectives
Connects with partners/end users to deliver value to business through opportunity identification, solution delivery, and change management
Responsible for program budget estimation, monitoring, and attainment
Creates and maintains a program risk assessment to ensure program risk identification and response
Responsible for portfolio resource planning including work load allocation and capacity planning to help determine project sequencing in the program
Will work with constituent Project Managers or Associates to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the organization's business objectives
Assess trade-offs for changes to project scope, schedule, and costs that impact the program and related projects
Responsible to improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, training, mentoring and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure efficiency, and inspire excellence
Acts as an escalation point; drives collaboration with program and project team members to resolve conflicts, project issues, and deviations and drives them to resolution
May be responsible for managing project managers and project personnel, as well as lead indirect resources
Coordinate the activities of 1 or more exempt and/or non-exempt employees
What you need-
Bachelor's degree required (emphasis in management or related discipline preferred) or equivalent
Master's degree highly preferred
Project Manager Certification preferred
10+ years demonstrated management experience in at least one discipline (Finance, Procurement, IT, R&D, Ops, etc.) highly preferred
Demonstrated versatility and a willingness to manage and lead a team through change and ambiguity
Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex projects demanding cross functional cooperation and the resultant timely completion of these projects
Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative team work, conflict management, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated experience in building trusting relationships with mid-level management and presenting proposals to executives
Demonstrated ability to generate and explain opportunity analysis and value assessments accurately
Demonstrated experience dealing with suppliers and outside services
Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop direct and indirect team members
Demonstrated proficiency to maintain program records in a PPM system such as; Microsoft Project SharePoint, Visio, and Office
