About the job:
Texas Instruments is seeking a Program Manager to manage product development or process implementation projects within an engineering organization at our Tucson, AZ site. Typically works across design, planning, applications, software and manufacturing departments to ensure successful completion of the program (i.e. on schedule and within budget), and coordinates across all organizations involved in the product development process from initiation through the product ramping-to-volume.
This role may represent the company with customers on technical and program matters. This job does not directly manage people but requires an electrical engineering background.
This Program manager will work to continue to optimize cost on released products by offloading to roadmap fabrication and assembly/test sites.
Work with customers to provide on-time sample support and meet their production schedules.
Qualify any new die re-designs that are required to meet customer needs. Work closely with failure analysis lab to verify and provide a response plan to fix customer problems
Work with operation and sustaining teams to re-release any catalog parts as AEC-Q100 for automotive customers.
Ability to create risk analysis for every new project and continuously manage and update risks that impact the project.
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field with 5 + years experience capturing the following:
-The ability to create realistic project plan schedules to include multiple fabrication and assembly/test sites optimizing cost and cycle times.
Coordinate engineering and assembly teams to create qualification plans to release a high quality and reliable new product to market.
Coordinate with marketing, characterization, product, systems, layout, applications and design engineering to release new products to market.
-Update project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar SW to keep track of critical path based on latest information
