Program Manager Senior

The Program Manager Senior works in an Agile environment to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. This position will establish the project framework and execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. The position is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. The Program Manager Senior ensures that senior management and all stakeholders are provided with regular project status and performance updates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible to manage project groups working in an Agile environment and complete assigned tasks within set time to deliver top performance.

  • Use Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices

  • Manages initiatives of larger size and high levels of complexity, coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible to fulfill client needs, including status reporting and stability of projects and project oriented work efforts.

  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to.

  • Facilitating discussion and facilitating alternatives or different approaches.

  • Lead a team to self-organization.

  • Assist in team development by removing road-blocks to their work, mentoring them and making a good utilization of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work

  • Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contribution

  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and a servant leadership mentality

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related business discipline

  • 5 7 years of Project Management experience

  • Experience with software development in an Agile environment and comfortable with Agile ceremonies and events

  • Working knowledge of Jira or other Agile project management tools

  • Experience leading and demonstrating value-add principles to a team, ensuring Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and facilitating discussion different approaches.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to successfully collaborate with peers on process improvement initiatives

  • Ability to form, normalize, and support self-managing teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. May require specialized knowledge as defined by project

  • Able to handle estimating, project tracking, and resource management for a large portfolio of complex projects

  • Ability to coach, negotiate, and influencing business partners

  • Experience with budget and financial planning and tracking

  • Problem solving and relationship management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Insurance or Financial Industry experience

Global Procurement Program Management Office (PMO) will deliver progressive thought leadership, robust processes/technology tools/policies, training, governance, and services to the procurement teams, business partners and the company at-large. The Global Procurement Program Management Senior Leader will report directly to the Global Procurement Strategy, Enablement and Governance Director. This role requires someone who thrives in a flat, fast-moving organization using lightweight processes, creative ideas and quick iteration to make a significant impact. This individual will have accountability to continue driving the implementation of procurement strategies and policies. S/he is responsible for procurement governance and risk assessment/mitigation principles and solutions, as well as helping to shape a best-in-class procurement operating model within Corteva. A qualified candidate should have extensive experiences in Sourcing/Supply Chain and Six Sigma methodology, organizational/business acumen and interpersonal skills; a good track record of supplier/organization risk assessment, project planning & execution including workplan phases and activities, to enable effective communication of timelines, milestones, and goals to all stakeholders. The role will be heavily involved in: * Delivering Procurement PMO workplans and facilitate regular updates to the senior leadership teams * Prioritizing and supporting the delivery of Procurement value creation projects encompassing cost, agility, sustainability, and business continuity initiatives. * Being able to build compelling business cases to drive transformative value creation opportunities while influencing the organization to move forward on the top ideas * Working closely with procurement teams and facilitate key transformation projects (e.g. risk/governance) and implementation; ensure alignment with key stakeholders (R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) for value creation. * Subject-matter expertise with regards to Six Sigma optimization approaches; utilizing data analytics and proven methodologies (e.g. Lean/CI, Project Management) to drive efficient value delivery. * Facilitating with the regional teams to ensure the "right to operate" is established Qualifications Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or Supply Chain Management * Minimum 15+ years of experience in a senior buyer/sourcing management role * Strong change management agent and able to build strong relationship at all levels, internally & externally. * Excellent project/program management experiences, with demonstrated proficiency in developing and delivering transformation projects on-time, with quality results * Experienced in procurement governance and risk mitigation topics * Experienced in identifying and developing standard methodologies, helping the businesses implement best practices * Advanced skills and experience in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and SharePoint. * Strong attention to detail * Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability and track record of leading complex analyses * Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, Black Belt certification and Lean Practitioner preferred #LI-DD1 Corteva, Inc.
