Program Manager Senior
The Program Manager Senior works in an Agile environment to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. This position will establish the project framework and execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. The position is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. The Program Manager Senior ensures that senior management and all stakeholders are provided with regular project status and performance updates.
Responsible to manage project groups working in an Agile environment and complete assigned tasks within set time to deliver top performance.
Use Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
Manages initiatives of larger size and high levels of complexity, coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible to fulfill client needs, including status reporting and stability of projects and project oriented work efforts.
Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to.
Facilitating discussion and facilitating alternatives or different approaches.
Lead a team to self-organization.
Assist in team development by removing road-blocks to their work, mentoring them and making a good utilization of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contribution
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and a servant leadership mentality
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related business discipline
5 7 years of Project Management experience
Experience with software development in an Agile environment and comfortable with Agile ceremonies and events
Working knowledge of Jira or other Agile project management tools
Experience leading and demonstrating value-add principles to a team, ensuring Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and facilitating discussion different approaches.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to successfully collaborate with peers on process improvement initiatives
Ability to form, normalize, and support self-managing teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. May require specialized knowledge as defined by project
Able to handle estimating, project tracking, and resource management for a large portfolio of complex projects
Ability to coach, negotiate, and influencing business partners
Experience with budget and financial planning and tracking
Problem solving and relationship management skills
