Program Manager, Sales Training and Enablement

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Sales Training and Enablement Program Manager to focus on shaping and landing the next generation of services to drive sales enablement for Nutanix. This role offers the opportunity to maintain a competitive edge by building and landing training and readiness that help support Nutanix sellers and partners around the globe.

This role requires vision and execution chops. Many have one or the other, we need both. You will be responsible for planning, strategy, design, development and management of role-focused curricula for key roles. This includes managing stakeholder expectations and communications as well as vendor, quality and budget management.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of key training programs for OEM Sellers and their business partners including Product/Solution training and business process enablement.

  • Consult with the Director, Global Sales Training and Sales leadership to identify/prioritize the top sales enablement requirements.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Solutions Marketing and other groups to source appropriate enablement content.

  • Define and publish learning paths and execution guidance for multiple Partners and multiple selling roles within organizations.

  • Design and implement training content, tools, and assessments for knowledge transfer and on-going development.

  • Work with Education and Enablement teams an potentially external vendors to develop web-based and instructor-led learning activities. Establish instructional plans, identify subject matter experts, coordinate all necessary Nutanix resources, and collaborate on content development and testing.

  • Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training program and sales force

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Quota-carrying sales experience a plus

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in executing channel readiness and enablement programs including building learning paths and training curriculum and measuring enablement success.

  • Previous role in sales or partner sales experience highly regarded.

  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication and influencing skills required

  • Demonstrated experience in managing end to end instructional design process based methodology (analysis, design, development and delivery) to create curriculum delivered in multiple modes (WBT, ILT, Blended).

  • Proven ability to give or facilitate live instructor-led sales training (on product, process, or skills related training topics)

  • Global experience tailoring and scheduling programs and initiative's, including travel as needed

  • Personality, confidence, and polish to engage upstream with sales executives, downstream with the field, and across business units with Marketing, Product Management and other groups within the company.

  • The ability to think strategically and turn strategy into strong execution plans.

  • Someone who blends technical aptitude with business savvy and has demonstrated success managing complex projects from start to finish.

  • In-depth understanding of enterprise sales processes and sales practices within the technology industry, experienced in enterprise sales enablement methods; experience conducting sales enablement needs assessments and creating annual sales enablement plans

  • Ability to organize and execute on competing priorities to meet deadlines

  • Proactive and self-directed: Must be able to define and scope new initiatives with minimal guidance based on field input and relevant field data.

  • Experience with Partner Training initiatives

  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS PowerPoint, Rapid Development Software (Captivate, Articulate Storyline etc.)

  • Continually adapt and learn new procedures, techniques, software and content delivery programs as needed.

  • Experience with multi-channel distribution VAD, VAR, SI/SP in mature and emerging markets

  • Dynamic and proven presentation and written communication skills a must

  • Experience that demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell Nutanix product and services is required.
