Overview

As a Program Manager, your role will focus on executing full-cycle project management within your department or division, ensuring the success of key initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with leadership, guiding team members to contribute effectively and serving as a resource for training and communicating expectations.

This role extends to overseeing the delivery of strategic programs and projects, working across departments and serving as a liaison with leadership on major initiatives. As a Lead-Senior Program Manager, you take on a more strategic, high-level position, potentially overseeing multiple programs and emphasizing coaching alongside project management for top-priority initiatives.

Duties

Full-cycle Project Management

Lead project ceremonies, approvals, and kickoffs.

Obtain estimates, manage dependencies, and address roadblocks.

Monitor and control project progress.

Conduct project wrap-up and facilitate learning for future projects.

Budgeting

Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities.

Manage change, risk, and resources.

Take responsibility for personnel and vendors.

Assess program performance to maximize ROI.

Resolve higher-scope project issues.

Prepare reports for program directors.

Scope Management

Direct project development from start to finish.

Define scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders.

Manage scope changes and communicate impacts.

Ensure full scope completion and catalog unfinished components.

Organize projects based on priority between minimum viable product and additional features.

Resource Planning

Allocate resources for projects and resolve conflicts.

Report on resource use and forecast project completion.

Document resource changes and their impact on projects.

Program Ownership

Own the program for one of our business units.

Maintain relationships with executives.

Participate in strategic planning.

Coordinate with other program managers.

Coach and support project managers.

Leadership

Provide leadership in resource planning and team direction.

Recognize and inform executives of exemplary project leads.

Address inefficiencies and facilitate communication.

Collaborate with other leaders to enhance team synergies.

Evaluate and lead project managers and staff.

Requirements

3-5 Years as a Project Manager and/or PMP Certification.

Experience project managing software projects.

Experience with Jira software.

Experienced workflow & process manager.

Leadership Skills: You will have to keep team members on track, resolve roadblocks.

Time Management: You will be working multiple projects at once with conflicting deadlines and demands.

Resources Planning: You will be expected make the most of the resources assigned to the project and ensure no downtime.

Analytical Skills: You will need to be able use the data available to make informed decisions and provide accurate reporting.

Diplomatic Communicator: You will be the liaison for your project team, communicating with key stakeholders, other teams and departments.

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer.

Must have a high level of computer literacy. Role includes repetitive movement of hands and fingers for long periods of time - typing and/or writing.
