The mission of Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Public Safety and Emergency Management (PS and EM) is to ensure our organization, patients, colleagues and community are safer and more prepared when facing security events, emergency and disasters. The Program Manager of Public Safety and Emergency Management (Physical Security and Technology) provides leadership and management in program(s) that are a part of the organization's comprehensive, integrated and optimized safety program.

This role serves as HHC's key leader for all physical security risk assessment, assessment, strategy, coordination of equipment installation, and project commissioning for all physical security and technology that may include access control, cameras, panic buttons, blue light boxes, among other technologies. The Program Manager supports all hospitals, pre/post-acute entities and supports the ambulatory development team for new builds, retrofits or similar.

In addition this role may also support initiatives that include program management, public safety operations, emergency response, emergency plans, emergency notification, physical security, education, workplace violence prevention, and other enhanced protection programs.

Bachelor's Degree in public administration, healthcare administration, public health, business administration, program management, leadership, fire sciences, criminal justice, paramedicine, government, non-profit management or related fields.

2-5 years of general Public Safety, Security or Emergency Management experience.

Valid driver's license
