The Role

The Program Manager, N.A. Manager Onboarding position requires someone with exceptional abilities in building and managing complex programs that span multiple departments and roles. This individual must be creative, proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for providing simple solutions to complex problems.

The Program Manager, N.A. Manager Onboarding will be the primary owner for developing and leading onboarding programs that prepare new managers across our Auto, Energy, and Delivery Businesses. It will work directly with Senior and field leaders across each of these channels. This role will also require extensive collaboration across teams within Tesla Academy, Human Resources, and Recruiting.


  • Collaborate with leadership and key business partners to determine onboarding needs for new managers in the Auto, Energy, and Delivery Businesses

  • Work with the broader Tesla Academy team to design, develop and deliver learning solutions that address and support the changing needs of the business

  • Partner with field leaders and Training Managers to ensure that the onboarding programs developed are effectively and consistently implemented

  • Exercise strong stakeholder management by staying in close communication and maintaining strong relationships with senior leadership and key business partners

  • Partner with Tesla Academy teams to create and execute effective measurement strategies to evaluate, monitor, and report on program effectiveness and impact

  • Facilitate training content in person or Virtually as needed

  • Train and coach others to deliver training content as needed

  • Create training tools, job aids, and presentation materials as needed

  • Complete store visits in key locations and markets to ensure close alignment with field


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years leading learning & development, sales, automotive, or technology programs in a large organization

  • Exceptional relationship, consulting, and influence capability demonstrated across diverse situations and contexts

  • Exceptional ability to build and manage complex programs that span multiple business units and teams

  • Able to distill complex problems and situations into simple solutions

  • Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills with partners and employees at all levels of the Company

  • Demonstrated track record of being proactive, managing complex projects simultaneously, and focusing on critical priorities with little or no supervision

  • Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to digest information from multiple sources, interpret results and quickly derive consultations and recommendations

  • Ability to speak comfortably and confidently publicly, in addition to superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication

  • Role is based in market in which you would support; up to 30% travel required and expectation is that you will be a strong individual contributor as well as Manager

  • Experience managing teams with multiple domain responsibility preferred

  • User experience with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems , proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pages, and Keynote a plus

Responsibilities This individual will drive all aspects of the Product Release Process for Soraa's lighting product programs from design to early manufacturing. * Responsible for all stages of the Product Release Process, ensuring correct resourcing of key functions, working across all functional teams and suppliers to take the product through Concept & Feasibility, Prototype, and Pilot Phases, and into manufacturing. * In charge of all day-to-day program management activities related to their responsible products, including structuring and coordinating product qualification builds at the contract manufacturer, scheduling test resources, scheduling milestone reviews, etc. * Manage project schedules and reporting, identify risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. * Analyze data and reach data-driven conclusions. Experience and Skills: * BS Degree in a technical discipline * 5-10 years experience in an engineering, program management, project management, or product management position.
