About the job:
The program manager will assist the mission to lead the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the nations physical and cyber infrastructure. The program manager will work with stakeholder Engagement and Cyber Infrastructure Resilience (SECIR) Division, as DHSs primary point of engagement and coordination for national security/emergency preparedness (NS/EP) communications and cybersecurity initiatives.The Program Manager shall be one of the senior level/ subject matter experts provided by the Contractor for this work effort. The Program Manager shall provide subject matter expertise, program management, program analysis and reporting, documentation, and/or strategic planning and overall management as required to support to the SECIR Mission Support Services task order.

A capacity for external engagement and representing the organization at startup community events is a must. This position is not for those who shy away from a challenge or who need a lot of structure; it demands someone who is ready from day one to take initiative, dive in, learn the ropes and take on significant responsibility. Salary range of $50-60,000 (comparable to other small non-profits and will match level of experience).</p> <p><strong>Your future role</strong>: Our programs team sets the vision, raises the sponsorship, recruits all stakeholders, and manages all logistics and communication for our programs. In addition to internally run programs, we oversee or advise partners or independent contractors who require support in the implementation of licensed programs.</p> <p><strong>How we operate</strong>: We are a small team of under 10 highly capable individuals who collectively deliver the results of a team 10 times our size. All team members will work closely with one another.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>This is what you would have done had you been with us last few months: <br> • Secured Pipeline Partners to support recruitment of candidates to apply for our programs and assumed responsibility of managing any Springboard staff and other auxiliary support personnel responsible for supporting the program. <br> • Managed communications with hub companies, partners, sponsors, and internal staff to ensure smooth, timely and efficient operations of the program. <br> • Overseen the initial review of the applicants, coordinated the review of relevant candidates with the Executive Committee and other experts, and organized and manage the in-person interviews of companies recommended by the Executive Committee. <br> • Scheduled, prepared the selected companies for, and participated in the advisory team meeting and arranged periodic check-in calls to help them prepare for an execute final presentations. <br> • Demonstrated your curiosity by learning about the people in our network, soliciting updates, following them in the news, and sending them information they’d find interesting before they know it themselves. <br> • Expanded Springboard’s Partner Network and global entrepreneur pipeline by following up on leads and partnership opportunities with other accelerators, non-profits, service providers, and conference organizers. <br> • Suggested women from our network for speaking roles, panel spots and awards. <br> • Educated yourself about the experts with whom we work, and how we do things, to suggest ways to work more effectively. <br> • Supported Springboard’s Annual Winners’ Circle Dinner in New York City by contacting alumnae, advisors and pitching Springboard to potential table sponsors</p> <p><strong>Please DO NOT apply if:</strong> <br> • You prefer to handle one thing at a time or need people to give you explicit assignments <br> • You absolutely need to know what a typical work day would entail <br> • You are uncomfortable asking questions or problem solving with little information <br> • You need complete privacy and quiet in order to do your work. <br> • You just want a job and expect to put in your 8 hour day and no more</p> <p><strong>Please DO apply if:</strong> <br> • You have a curious nature and are inspired to work with a global network of entrepreneurs and investors. <br> • You demonstrate that you have an obsessive attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in setting and meeting deadlines. <br> • You are interested in networking and representing Springboard externally. <br> • You have a high tolerance for and are comfortable managing high stress situations. <br> • You take initiative, appreciate what it is to be a team player and have never said 'that's not my job'.</p> Springboard Enterprises Washington DC
