Description of Duties:

We are hiring individuals with program management, cybersecurity engineering, systems engineering, operations and sustainment engineering, systems network administration, and unit and administrative security experience to support our U.S Space Force customers at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). Our team will sit on-site with our customers who are focused on sustaining America's legacy and next-generation Military Satellite Communication space programs. You will be in the premier space sustainment organization responsible for delivering space-based capabilities and effects to our warfighters and allied partners. Key duties associated with this position include:

  • Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action

  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)

  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment

  • Formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives

  • Support and develop acquisition reports including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.)

  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews

  • Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management

  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews

  • Support implementation and execution of Agile software development processes in concert with Government and Prime contractors

  • Provide program level acquisition support to the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team leads by helping guide successful program execution to maintain the acquisition battle rhythm and deliver warfighter capability

  • Provide expert advice and solutions to program leadership to facilitate successful contract execution for the program

  • Analyze overall program health and advise program leadership on options to maintain cost, schedule, and performance objective

Basic Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree and 15 years of experience with 10 years of DoD support preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75

  • Knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force

  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs

  • Knowledge of support activities that support the Program Manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baseline

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of relevant Program Management publications and regulations to assist with identification, reporting, and resolving deficiencies

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

The PM will also facilitate substantive software modernization development and integration efforts. This individual will also support SAIC leadership strategic planning, business development planning and proposal responses for similar contract pursuits. A strong candidate will possess a robust track record of managing complex technical programs, and a record of supporting company growth goals, in and outside of assigned PM roles. This SAIC PM role supports the Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) And Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The NISSC II effort establishes requirements for OM&S that support classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB), Colorado. The NISSC II OM&S TO also establishes requirements for operations and maintenance support for the CMAFS Information Systems Infrastructure. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The PM is responsible for delivering efficient integration of technical and programmatic support functions, the successful implementation of governance process improvements, and delivering outcomes that result in the government achieving their strategic objectives. The PM will also manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing.
